We’re looking for someone to manage our operations at our shipping fulfillment center in Salmon, Idaho, and also complete tasks in budget/accounting management for our ranch business as well as some online marketing tasks. Extensive previous experience in any of these areas not required, but basic understanding of systems, accounting basics, Excel, and using computers/technology is expected.

Location: Salmon, Idaho. The position requires 2 days (Mondays and Fridays) on-site in the Salmon Idaho warehouse. The remaining hours can be done remotely.

Your Job: The Operations Manager ensures that all facets of the fulfillment warehouse operate smoothly and efficiently. Alderspring will provide extensive training on our systems and enhancement of skillsets to successfully function in this position. The right applicant is teachable, enjoys working with people, is understanding of a discerning health-oriented clientele, and has good communication skills with subordinates, peers, and supervisors. This position requires someone with good attention to detail, ability to problem-solve independently, a cheerful happy can-do attitude, and a heart for serving people.
The job has three main centers of responsibility: warehouse and fulfillment management, accounting and budget management, and sales and marketing. Applicants will be considered with strong skills in one area and a willingness to train.

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.
Pay: Depends on experience and references. $13-19/hr with potential of raises as effectiveness and expertise improves.

jOB dESCRIPTION
Fulfillment warehouse manager (15-20 hours per week).
Supervise a team of 3-5 people. Responsible for efficient and accurate order fulfillment
- Oversee the hiring, training, & routine reviews of warehouse staff
- Maintain a clean & organized working environment
- Propose Annual Budgets to Management
- Develop, implement and document new operations systems as needed
- Structure weekly workflows so orders are boxed and ready for UPS pickup.
- Approve monthly hours and evaluate employment overage or gaps.
- Ensure that orders are accurately packed, iced and labeled.
- As needed, pack orders, create labels and add dry ice and marketing materials to boxes.
- Interact with customer service manager, meat manager, and materials manager to ensure smooth operation of product management, order fulfillment, and meeting customer expectations. Monitor quality of shipments and develop protocols to ensure product delivery and quality.
- Monitor shipping costs
- Analyze benchmarks in excel and create reports
- Provide weekly short reports in writing.

Budget and Accounting (5-10hrs per week)
Manage budget and bookkeeping for Alderspring Ranch Grassfed Organic Beef and Alderspring Wild
- Implement and monitor budget
- Maintain books (Quickbooks)
- Monitor receipts
- Ensure timely payments to vendors
- Provide monthly reports and analyses with actionable suggestions for improvement
Required Skills and Expertise
- Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles and a willingness to learn Quickbooks (knowledge of quickbooks preferred)
- Excel: Task automation using macros. Building formulas. Cell formatting. Managing large datasets. Creating reports.
- Good communication skills in writing and in person
- Experience analyzing and reporting financial metrics preferred

Marketing and Sales (10-15 hours per week)
- Determine sale products with the meat manager
- Create coupon codes
- Update sales platform to accurately reflect products
- Format newsletters (2 per week) using provided content and templates (text and photos)
- Manage and monitor website keeping up to date and error free
- Post content to website (weekly ranch story, recipes)
- Work with customer service lead on solving problems for customers
