We’re done working on the stack yard fence for now, so Clinton and Justice started building a protective jack fence around the base of the three tower pivot point. Here Clinton is building some new jacks for the project. Photo credit Justice Mitchell.

We usually calve in May and June, but occasionally there are exceptions. This little guy came on a mild day a couple of weeks ago. Right from the beginning his mom was suspiciously eyeing anyone who got too close–a good indicator of a protective, attentive mama cow. Photo credit Josh Whitling.

Frost heaves in the road are just another sign of the times. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles buckle the roads surface into a series of natural speed bumps. Better slow down or the ride is going to get wild! – Scott

We regularly drive long distances through ofttimes remote country year round. Ninety percent of the time it is smooth sailing. The other ten percent can get interesting.
