This brisket recipe is a great, easy meal because you can leave it alone in the oven for hours while you go about your business, and at the end of the day you’ll have a nice steamy roast in front of you. The apricots in this one add a nice, fruity flavor and the cinnamon a bit of depth.

The BEST way to cook brisket is slow, cover with water add an onion carort and celery (you dont have to but its good) Put a lid on and cook in the oven on low for a minimum of 3 hours, I did one overnight once and it was great.Take it out the oven and let it go cold then remove from liquid and slice. Use the liquid to make a gravy you can just add granules, they are fine. Its great served with mashed potatoes.Try it, trust me you wont be sorry!I cook it like this all the time and so many people have complemented it and asked me how it’s cooked.
